My Truth: Red Lipstick Scares Me

I already know! You are looking at this Blog Post Title like:

I bet you are saying -- not the woman who we have seen wear Purple, Green, Black and Blue Lipstick. Yes it's true. I am so afraid of Bold Red Lipsticks.

What's so weird about this whole ordeal is, once I get it on you'll never know that I'm feeling self conscious or worried about it.

The Number ONE Rule for rocking Lipstick is "Rock it well".

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick - Weirdo
Even if you don't like how it looks on you, hold your head up high and act if it's the best color you're worn. I guarantee at least one person will pay you a compliment.

Ok... Now that you know the lipstick rule, let's get back to me and this Red Lipstick thing. Being a Woman of Color (W.O.C.) with full lips, red lipstick is not a color that I automatically gravitate to. My Lipstick collection consists of about 36 lipsticks -- only two of them are what I would consider true classic reds.

Useful facts about Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks ( taken from website) :
These liquid lipsticks are creamy and soft in texture. They moisturize the lips and create a long lasting lipstick effect. No need to use lip liner, this lipstick gives a beautiful edge to your lip look!  The formula is a matte color formula but if you want to add some shine to your liquid lipstick just add some lip gloss. All shades contain antioxidants and Vitamin E while the formula provides a lightweight layer of lasting color to make you look stunning all day. Color will last in a perfect condition up to five hours without eating or drinking. For best results do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after applying.

I love the formula of this lipstick. What's unique about Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks is that they are very creamy and mixable. It seems as if they took a tube of lipstick and put it in a container with a wand applicator. You can take any lip pencil (especially MAC Cosmetics  Nightmoth or Chestnut) and combine it with these lippies and totally change the face of them.

Useful facts about Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks( taken from website) :
These liquid lipstick goes on opaque, dries completely matte and stays on for hours! This product is 100% vegan & cruelty-free! (Tips before use: Exfoliate then apply to bare lips! avoid food with oil… and no making out, kisses are ok!)

According to Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick website REDRUM is described as:
"The perfect red"
This matte cool toned red looks amazing on any skin tone.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics has my attention right now. Although REDRUM not a shade that I would grab daily, when I wear it, I do smile.  You can never go wrong with that classy red lip. However it takes a special lipstick lover to enjoy and respect the power of the "Red Lip"
